As time passed, in the early 1950s, one woman adopted jeans, which had previously only been workwear, into fashion. That woman was the great American actress Marilyn Monroe.
In an era when there was resistance to women wearing jeans, seeing Marilyn Monroe wearing jeans on screen made a huge impact. It is said that she also loved wearing jeans in her private life. Bombshell jeans have a deep rise, reflecting the style of the time, and are roomy around the hips, allowing them to be worn with the high waist of the 1950s. The wide, straight silhouette, gently tapered towards the hem, creates a relaxed look when paired with sneakers or a more mature look when paired with heels.
